MicroMain Releases New Asset Tracking Software

July 9th, 2008

MicroMain™ Asset Tracking helps you track your assets from original purchase through all moves. Using this software with a Tablet PC or Ultra Mobile PC, you can enter and update asset data, including the location, identity and condition of your assets.

This software makes it easy to take inventory, update records, assign meters to assets, and create new assets. You download asset records from the MicroMain database and then upload the new and updated data—wirelessly if you are within the “cloud.” The new Asset Tracking features include barcode scanning to select assets, automatic counts of all selected records, and email options for asset reports.

MicroMain Releases xmMOBILE 7.1

March 26th, 2008

The upgrade for xmMOBILE is now available. Upgrades to Version 7.1 are available at no charge to customers with current Priority Support Subscriptions. If you have not already requested your upgrade, you may do so now at http://www.micromain.com/PSS.asp.

xmMOBILE v7.1 still allows tethered (connected via a cable) work order syncing but now also allows wireless access. This wireless functionality will enable users to improve productivity and may increase customer satisfaction since work orders may be downloaded at any time without maintenance technicians making a trip to the shop. Increased security is another enhancement—administrators are able to set up security for each maintenance technician to determine who has access to xmMOBILE and which work orders are available to which technicians. Many users will also appreciate the fact that xmMOBILE has been eliminated on the PC side. This means clerks or technicians no longer need to open up xmMOBILE PC to select the work orders or inspections to download. Users will save time and benefit from increased performance due to additional enhancements, as well.
